Conveyancing Legal Assistant / Legal Support

The RoleYou will work within the Conveyancing Department, providing high-quality administrative and legal support to fee earners, enabling them to focus on more complex legal matters. You will play a key role in supporting transactions and maintaining excellent client relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Managing client matters where appropriate
- Typing correspondence, opening new files, and file management
- Ordering searches and Land Registry documentation
- Preparing files for billing
- Screening incoming calls and managing correspondence
- Sorting and prioritising mail, emails, and messages
- Preparing straightforward legal documents
- Providing a professional and friendly service to clients
- Assisting with client liaison and transaction updates
- Supporting reception cover when required
- Working in accordance with LEXCEL standards and Law Society requirements
- Understanding Solicitors Accounts Rules relating to client monies
- Previous experience in legal work
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Calm, professional, and client-focused approach
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong administrative skills
- Ability to work at pace and manage a varied workload
- High-quality work under pressure
- Confident decision-making and ownership of tasks
- Professional presentation and flexible approach
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Experience in conveyancing
- Previous experience within a busy conveyancing team
- No specific qualifications required
