We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our team at HMP Erlestoke, a Category C male, adult prison. Working Monday to Friday as a supportive and driven team, you will contribute to a safe and nurturing environment within this self‑contained facilities complex. You will work alongside experienced professionals such as plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, administrators and other cleaners, all dedicated to making a positive difference and ensuring safety for prisoners, staff and visitors.

As a Cleaning Operative you will: collaborate with the Facilities Maintenance Team to uphold high standards of cleanliness; support the smooth and safe operation of the prison; maintain a safe and secure environment; and perform day‑to‑day cleaning duties that promote rehabilitation and positive change.

• Experience of working within a cleaning environment
• Knowledge of COSHH
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and people skills
