Development Engineer

Part of a larger group, this well‑established design and manufacturing company has a reputation for product excellence and innovation. • The successful candidate will work alongside the Design, Quality and Manufacturing teams, supporting the ongoing development of new and legacy products.
• Designing components and products using Solid Works.
• DFM (Design for Manufacturing).
• Evaluation of new product specifications.
• Taking new customer enquiries through the development lifecycle, from prototype stage through to final test, report writing and customer handover.

• Previous experience developing electrical and mechanical products.
• Ability to perform hands‑on tooling and machine set‑up.
• Experience of product testing.
• GD and T (good design and technical skills).
• Strong statistical and data analysis.

• £38,000‑£43,000 depending on experience.
