Marks Sattin are pleased to be working a fast-growing, profitable retail business for their search of a new Financial Controller.

Expanding globally and driving double‑digit like‑for‑like growth on the high street year on year, this is a great opportunity for a candidate to develop further in a leadership role.

As Financial Controller, you will take ownership of core financial operations and controls, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidence in reporting across multiple legal entities. This is a hands‑on role in a high‑growth, fast‑paced environment, ideal for someone who thrives under pressure and wants to make a real impact.

You will report initially to the Head of Finance and work closely with senior leadership. For the right person, there is a clear path to Head of Finance in the future.

• Lead all aspects of financial control, including management accounting, statutory reporting, and consolidations
• Cash management, AP/AR oversight, and balance sheet integrity
• Tax compliance, transfer pricing, and audit coordination
• Implement and optimise financial systems and controls, including Net Suite rollout
• Ensure robust processes for multi‑entity accounting in a complex, international retail environment
• Provide confidence in financial reporting to senior leadership and external stakeholders
• Mentor and develop the finance team as transactional processes evolve

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Minimum 2‑3 years in a leadership/managerial role in a reasonably complex business
• Experience in consumer goods/retail and fast‑paced environments
• Strong technical knowledge of financial controls, statutory reporting, and tax
• Proven ability to implement systems and drive process improvements
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders
