What you’ll be doing
Our pharmacists make a real difference in the communities we look after, delivering trusted care, advice and services that put patients first. In this role, you’ll use your clinical expertise every day, surrounded by a brilliant team and tools.
- Delivering NHS, locally commissioned, and private services using both in‑store and digital tools
- Leading professional and legal standards for patient safety and pharmacy compliance
- Monitoring, evaluating, and continually improving standards of care and safety
- Working with the Store Manager to develop the capability of the wider healthcare team
- Growing talent that reflects the communities we serve; coaching, mentoring and supporting your colleagues every step of the way.
- Representing Boots within the local community and with healthcare professionals
- Registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience leading patient and customer care within a pharmacy setting
- Passion for delivering essential, advanced, and private services
- A collaborative, team-first mindset and an eagerness to coach and guide others
- Experience in enhanced services
- A strong understanding of local clinical networks

Need To KnowWe’re looking for a passionate Relief Pharmacist to join our team in Oxfordshire, based out of our fantastic Didcot store! Your main cluster of stores will include, but not limited to, Didcot, Wantage, Faringdon and Wallingford. As part of our pharmacy relief team, you’ll be supported by a fantastic group of experienced Pharmacy Technicians, and Pharmacy Advisors, alongside a strong retail management team, dedicated Area Manager, and Director of Stores.
We also have a strong Deployment team to provide you with your rota 12 weeks in advance! We’re proud to offer the opportunity to complete your Independent Prescriber (IP) qualification – fully funded by Boots.
