This apprenticeship includes:
  • Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification.
  • Vendor certifications such as CompTIA A+ Core 1 & 2 and ITIL 4 Foundation.
  • Additional BCS Certificate in IT Service Management and Business Processes.
  • 10 days of intensive training (12‑hour sessions) delivered online or face‑to‑face (food and accommodation included, travel not included).
Responsibilities:
  • Act as the first point of contact for customer IT and telecoms support requests via phone, email, and ticketing system.
  • Provide clear, friendly, and professional assistance to resolve technical issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve basic technical problems, escalating complex issues when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and resolutions.
  • Support the team in monitoring systems and ensuring service availability.
  • Learn and apply ITIL principles and best practices in service management.
  • Assist customers with hardware and software installations, updates and configurations.
Skills Required:
  • A genuine interest in IT and technology.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of computers and networks (desirable but not essential).
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
