Overview
Interacts with the Bank’s customer in providing efficient, friendly and quality service; answering queries, guiding and providing information. In addition, deal and help resolve any customer complaints while encouraging customers to increase their business with the Bank and direct them to the appropriate bank personnel.
Customer Service Tasks- Assist customers with routine account-related requests such as Opening Accounts, ATM, Credit Cards and Cheque Book Applications, Funds Transfers, Standing Orders and Stop Payments.
- Responds to customer inquiries about bank deposit products and service charges, Debit and Credit card usage and limits, checking and savings accounts transactions, funds availability and check verification requests by third parties.
- Ensure that all relevant documentations are in place while performing opening accounts and other related services.
- Build a good relationship towards the customers and all stakeholders.
- Act promptly to either resolve directly or escalate to appropriate levels, any unresolved issues raised by the customers for speedy resolution of issues.
- Resolve customer problems by acting as the customer liaison between other bank departments when necessary.
- Market the various products of the bank to customers and in coordination with the Tellers, introduce and migrate customers to alternative channels with the intention of generating more sales thereby increasing revenue through referrals.
- Prepare timely and accurate functional statements and reports to meet functional requirements, policies and standards.
- Checks and ensure that all customer documentations are correct in order to ensure compliance with regulations.
- University Graduate or Equivalent
- at least 1-3 years of relevant experience in the banking sector
- Knowledge of retail banking processes and products
