Secondary Design and Technology Teacher – Qatar – August 2026

Salary and Benefits

  • Tax Free Salary Per Month: QAR 13,600 to 23,700 depending on years of experience and qualifications
  • Housing allowance or school provided accommodation
  • Economy‑class airfare provided for the employee, spouse, and up to three dependent children (below 18 years old) in the following cases: upon recruitment from the employee’s country of permanent residence to Doha; at the end of service, provided that the residence permit is cancelled.
  • Medical services provided in accordance with the governmental healthcare policy applicable in the State of Qatar.
  • Tuition Fees Reimbursement up to QAR 28,000 per child per year for up to three dependents under 18 years old, from Grade 1/Year 1 to Grade 12/Year 13, processed upon submission of official payment receipts and supporting documents.
  • Utilities cover the full cost of water, electricity, and internet services up to QAR 300 per month (basic plan).
  • Contract is for one year.
Brief

Job Description
  • The Design & Technology (DT) Teacher (Grades 7–12) is responsible for delivering a modern, industry‑aligned curriculum that integrates engineering principles, digital design, 3 D modeling, prototyping, product design, and graphic design.
  • Postholder must be skilled in teaching students how to conceptualize, design, and develop digital and physical products using software such as Onshape, Solid Works, Fusion
    360, and graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva.
  • The role is suitable for teachers with backgrounds in Engineering, Computer Science, Product Design, Graphic Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, or related fields.
  • The teacher facilitates project‑based learning, fosters creativity and innovation, and equips students with design thinking and real‑world problem‑solving skills.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject (Master’s preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years of teaching or lab experience
  • Candidates below 50 years of age
  • Experience in STEM‑focused or innovative learning environments is an advantage
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design, Architecture, Computer Science, Graphic Design, Master’s degree, teaching license, or industry certifications (Solid Works, Adobe, Autodesk)
  • Experience teaching or working in 3 D modeling, CAD, or digital design environments; experience in STEM schools, design studios, fabrication labs, or curriculum development
  • Technical

    Skills:

    proficiency in CAD tools (Onshape, Solid Works, Fusion
    360) and graphic design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva); experience with 3 D printing, CNC, laser cutting, or advanced design workflows
  • Creative

    Skills:

    strong visual communication, design thinking, and problem‑solving abilities; experience in UX/UI design, animation, or multimedia creation
  • Teaching

    Skills:

    ability to deliver engaging, hands‑on, project‑based lessons; experience coaching students for design competitions or portfolio development
  • ICT

    Skills:

    ability to use LMS platforms, digital design software, and online collaboration tools; experience using VR/AR design tools or AI‑assisted design platforms
  • Soft Skills:

    effective communication, teamwork, organization, and creativity; leadership, mentoring, or workshop facilitation experience
  • Personal Attributes: professional, innovative, motivated, and student‑centered; passion for emerging technologies and creative design practices
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student development: involvement in design clubs, innovation fairs, or creative events
