Job DescriptionJob Title:
HSE Officer
- Salary range: QAR 3,000 – 3,500 (depending on experience and performance)
Responsibilities:
- Implement and enforce company HSE policies, site‑specific RAMS, and Permit‑to‑Work procedures.
- Conduct daily site and workshop inspections; identify hazards and perform risk assessments.
- Manage Permit‑to‑Work for hot work, work at height, confined space and electrical isolation.
- Deliver inductions, toolbox talks and on‑the‑job safety coaching for workers and subcontractors.
- Monitor and control high‑risk activities: hot work, lifting operations, scaffolding, cutting/grinding, painting, and electrical tasks.
- Inspect PPE, tools, equipment and machinery; ensure maintenance and inspection records are up to date.
- Investigate incidents and near‑misses, prepare investigation reports, and follow up corrective/preventive actions.
- Verify subcontractor HSE plans, competency, certifications and compliance on site.
- Maintain HSE documentation: inspection checklists, PTW logs, induction, MSDS, incident reports and NCRs.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness: fire drills, evacuation procedures, first‑aid readiness and liaison with emergency services.
- Enforce housekeeping, access/egress, signage and environmental controls (dust, VOCs, noise, waste segregation).
- Monitor and maintain safety records for all machinery and equipment across group companies, ensuring regular inspection and compliance with safety standards.
Certifications:
NEBOSH IGC / IOSH Managing Safely / First Aid / Fire Safety or equivalent.
