Industrial Hygienist

• Develop a full roadmap and implement a full Occupational Hygiene/Industrial Hygiene Program
• Coordinate purchase of necessary Industrial Hygiene equipment and maintain it along with periodic maintenance contracts within the available budget
• Coordinate the occupational hygiene program for the operation as well as at Corporate Office
• Develop long-term monitoring program based on business and regulatory requirements. Conduct occupational monitoring through the operations as per the program
• Compile detailed formal reports following occupational hygiene monitoring
• Support operational teams with regulatory training and awareness programs related to occupational hygiene and general health & safety topics
• Develop and deliver presentations to the workforce on occupational hygiene related subjects
• Investigation follow‑up and reporting of any occupational hygiene incidents to higher authorities
• Timely reporting of monthly, quarterly and annual data to higher management

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years in a similar role
• Experience working in a highly regulated industry, especially steel manufacturing
• Technical college or university degree in Industrial/Occupational Hygiene, Safety Engineering or related discipline is desirable
• The candidate should be an expert in the following
  • Qualitative Assessment (Detailed Industrial Hygienist Walk‑Through Survey)
  • For all routine & non‑routine activities
  • For all types of hazards (physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic, etc.)
  • Develop risk matrix & sampling matrix based upon site‑specific inputs as well as HIRA
  • Qualitative assessment report draft should be technically approved by a Certified Industrial Hygienist and submitted to Qatar Steel for further review
• Quantitative assessment:
  Exposure monitoring specifically the Task‑Based Health Risk Assessment
• Conduct the Task‑Based Health Risk Assessment for all levels of allldə job positions within Qatar Steel at all locations including manufacturing and administrative locations
• Examples of specific monitoring methodology for each task for all job positions at Qatar Steel
  • Personal air sampling for chemical exposure
