Project Surveyor, you will respond to the Survey Manager and be part of the Subsea Team within the COMP3 Project.
How can you support us? Here are your responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Project Team to evaluate and implement the most effective and efficient technical survey solutions
- Define and communicate positional, angular, and dimensional accuracy requirements for engineering deliverables
- Provide ongoing updates to Engineering on limitations and capabilities of positioning systems and survey methodologies
- Participate in tendering and contract evaluations for survey services and technical requirements
- Plan and organize offshore and onshore survey operations in accordance with company standards and project specifications
- Prepare and manage survey documentation, including operational procedures, method statements, and quality control protocols
- Oversee and manage Survey subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project quality, safety, and scheduling standards
- Contribute to risk assessments and ensure survey operations are executed safely and efficiently
Education & Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 8 years of experience in survey management within the offshore, marine, or construction industries
Proven experience in offshore survey planning and executions
Languages:
English (required); additional languages are an asset.
Skills & Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of survey instrumentation, geospatial data analysis, and relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS, Hydrographic survey tools)
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skillsli>
- Familiarity with contract management, including supervising survey subcontractors
- Experience with dynamic positioning and offshore navigation systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Certification or membership in a recognized surveying body (e.g., RICS, NSPS, FIG) is an advantage
