Overview
Primary Purpose of the Job:
Advise and develop effective safety strategies, standards and procedures in Road Transport and Logistics Safety and oversee their implementation to assure that the Road Transport and Logistics Safety risks are mitigated to a level that is As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP), are in compliance with all the statutory and corporate requirements, and aligned with the industry’s best practices.
- Chartered Safety Professional (CSP) credential or equivalent is required
- A minimum of 15 years of relevant working experience in safety (HSE) management functions is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the oil and gas (O&G) industry or petrochemical industry is required.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar supervisory position is preferable.
- Extensive experience in logistics and road transport management is required.
- Experience in national and regional strategic road transport improvement projects is required.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage technical knowledge and interpersonal skills to influence outcomes across a wide range of stakeholder groups, while taking into account challenges to the business.
- BEng / BSc in Mechanical, Civil, Industrial Engineering or related discipline is required.
- MEng / BSc in Mechanical, Civil, Industrial Engineering or related discipline would be an added advantage.
