Lead Engineer - Process; Feasibility, Concept and FEED projects

Roles and Responsibilities

· Provide technical assurance of Process designs through appropriate application of project technical standards and specifications, implementation of discipline assurance plan and review of design deliverables and activities.

· Ensure schedule and cost considerations are included in design decisions, while maintaining primary responsibility to assure safe and appropriate quality designs.

· Ensure Process Engineering activities are executed in alignment with Kent’s Project Delivery Roadmap and control framework.

· Knowledge of International codes and standards specifically latest version of Shell DEP.

· Develop strategies/conceptual designs during early project phases.

· Design and develop, as required, innovative technical approaches to the broader process engineering issues and contribute to continuous business improvement initiatives.

· Provide (one stop shop) process engineering support and delivery for all Feasibility Study, Concept and FEED projects).

· Accountability for process engineering deliverables and engineering execution planning support including provision of senior engineering expertise.

· Proactively working with the Project Manager to keep project on track and maintain project budget, productivity and schedule compliance.

· Drive and delivery projects through improved effectiveness and efficiency to provide safe sustainable design.

Lead, manage and mentor process team. Drive Lessons Learnt and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Education:
  
  BSc., University in Chemical Engineering or equivalent Experience and Skill set:
• Experience of working on Qatar projects will be a distinct added advantage.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in Brown Field Oil and Gas related process Design and Engineering
• Performs as a professional process engineer for projects and plant modifications from Concept to Front End Development through execution / commissioning and start-up.
• Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in Brown Field Oil and Gas Project Delivery as a Lead process engineer function in a multidiscipline Workforce.
• Minimum 10-12 years process design experience in engineering consultancy within the oil & gas industry in a professional technical capacity involving specification, design, planning, checking.
• Fully conversant with process simulation tools
• Experience in the Middle East, knowledge of upstream, LNG, onshore extraction, Gas Processing and Utilities, CO2 injection projects are an advantage, as is front-end and commissioning experience and execution.
• Good communication skills and report writing skills, experience of writing technical reports is essential.
• Team player with clear evidence of working with others to deliver on goals.
• Strong, and demonstrated, personal commitment to HSSE Leadership and experience in managing HSSE throughout all project phases.
• Experience with project management, proven leadership skills and strong personal drive-in order to meet deadlines and specific targets.
