As Loss Prevention Engineer you will be part of the Offshore Engineering Department
. You will support the Lead Loss Prevention Engineer in ensuring the safety and reliability of projects by executing design activities and preparing technical documentation in compliance with international standards and client requirements.

• Execute design activities and prepare documents for project safety and reliability.
• Review and check interdisciplinary technical documentation.
• Monitor scope of work, raise change notifications, and liaise with PMT and other discipline engineers.
• Prepare and check key deliverables including:
• Loss prevention philosophy / safety concept
• Fire protection design basis
• Hazardous area classification schedules & layouts
• Passive fire protection specifications, schedules & layouts
• Fire & gas design philosophy and detection system layouts
• Layout drawings for safety equipment, escape routes, and safety signs
• Perform design basis and characterization of firefighting protection systems, including hydraulic calculations for fire water networks and spray systems.
• Prepare specifications for firefighting, safety, and lifesaving equipment; review vendor documentation.
• Coordinate safety workshops and review third‑party safety studies.
• Liaise with drafting teams for drawing development.

• Education:
  
  Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Safety, or related field).
• Background: 10–15 years of experience in oil & gas projects, preferably with offshore wellhead/process platform exposure.
• Languages:
  
  Proficiency in English; knowledge of other languages is an asset.
• Technical Knowledge:
• Familiarity with Qatar Energy, ADNOC, Shell, Aramco standards and international regulations.
• Expertise in preparation of fire water network P&IDs.
• Strong knowledge of fire protection, hazardous area classification, passive fire protection, and fire & gas detection systems.
