In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work of medium to high complexity as per work instructions and ABB guidelines. Each day, you will deliver excellent customer service to satisfy customers. You will also showcase your expertise by working with customer to identify opportunities in the installed base, to improve system performance and operational performance.

The work model for the role is:
Onsite.

This role is contributing to the PAEN‑Qatar. Main stakeholders are PAEN.

• Performing complex field service tasks, identify technical problems, and make analysis through remote or on‑site activity in service categories and products for which you are certified to perform.
• Planning and preparing site work for larger project team and managing related subcontractors at site.
• Contributing to customer satisfaction by planning and executing service work as per customer order and expectations.
• Ensuring customer retention by delivering superior customer experience and effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations.
• Taking actions to identify new service business opportunities for ABB, in close cooperation with customer and other ABB teams.
• Coaching technicians and engineers and supervising complex site activities.

• Graduate Engineer in instrumentation, Electrical or Equivalent Engineering degree.
• Minimum 8 years of experience, including at least 5 years as a customer support, project or service engineer of System 800xA based safety systems, preferably in the Oil & Gas / Power & Water industry.
• Good hands‑on experience in System 800xA based integrated control and safety system (both hardware and software) is a must‑have with AC800MH
  I library‑based application development – project & commissioning.
• Knowledge of FSMS (functional safety management system) is a must‑have for this role and valid Functional Safety certifications preferred such as TUV FS engineer, ABB certifications, etc.
• Knowledge of functional safety technical standards IEC
  61511, IEC
  61508 and corresponding system engineering practice experience.
• Hands‑on experience in industrial networking, network switch configuration.
• Hands‑on experience in Cyber security for 800xA based systems.
• Be an analytical thinker, self‑starter, resilient and highly adaptable – in line with ABB’s latest advance service & digital portfolio.
• Hands‑on experience in industrial communication protocols like Modbus‑RTU & TCP, OPC, etc.
