Responsibilities
- Verifiespiping and duct design and carries out repairs as necessary.
- Conducts
AHU performance review, reviews air and water balancing data and conductsbalancing as needed - Liaises with Consultant to obtain Municipality and QCD approvals as and when needed
- Leadsinternal and external projects efficiently, managing internal and external resources, controls costs, concludes projects within time.
- Reviewscommon practices, makes changes to work methods, improves processes.
- Checksequipment, spares availability, energy consumption, and recommendsreplacement of parts when needed.
- Raises
PRs in a timely manner and follows up for deliveries with Purchase dept. - Conductroot cause analysis of commonly reported operational snags
- Driveservice excellence through efficient service delivery whilst maintainingstrict compliance to HSE policies
- Controlsexpenditure on spares, tools and consumables in line with the allocatedbudget
- Manageupto 15 contractors under AMC, plan activities, coordinate timelyrectification of breakdowns.
- Sourcecontractors from local and international market for supply of spare parts andadhoc services
- Reviews the work completion, approves or rejects the work quality, takes disciplinary action when needed.
- University Degree in Mechanical Engineering with specialisation in HVAC, UPDA certified.
- Highlevel of knowledge of industry standards, ability to comprehend schematicdiagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans and other specifications.
- Must beable to understand drawings & details, material finishes and constructionmaterial requirements.
- Good technical knowledge of heat load calculations, piping and duct design, motorand pump selection, AHU performance review. Can independently carry out suchcalculations for new projects or upgrades
- Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a companyspecific safety orientation
- Highlevel of knowledge in Fire Fighting and Life Safety systems, able to attend
Qatar Civil Defense technical meetings and site inspections - Compliance with local building codes, and health and safety regulations
- Minimum
10 years working experience in GCC, with deep knowledge of all buildingsystems. Should have managed large commercial buildings. Villa / residentialtower experience will not be acceptable. - QCDDcertified, and able to manage Civil Defense inspections
- Abilityto lead multi-cultural team members effectively
- Abletoprepare high quality of operational reports for Management review
- IT/technologysavvy in the use of offline and online tools to assist in day to day works
- Abilityto manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment;effectively manage time and meet deadlines with limited supervision
- Self-motivated,Interpersonal, initiative, analytical thinking, decision making abilities.
- Proficient in use of Autocad, Microsoft Suite, Project Planner
- English language proficiency is a must, Arabic language proficiency is an advantage
- Excellent,proven interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
