We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to work under the Programme Management Business Group, providing project management and construction supervision services. The Senior Structural Engineer will assist the Project Manager and/or Resident Engineer in administering the operational functions of the day-to-day activities on the project. Duties include reviewing and approving all submittals by contractors (including design review, prequalification, material, shop drawing, method statement), participating in quality control and quality assurance, and conducting routine inspection monitoring tasks to confirm proper construction supervision is being performed by discipline inspectors.

The role also involves inspecting various facets of work on the construction site, performing continuous surveillance of assigned construction activities to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications, documenting non‑conformance, and determining appropriate resolution when necessary.

• Assist the PM and/or RE in performing the contractual duties on site.
• Advise the project manager on technical aspects of the Structural and Civil disciplines that may affect construction progress and quality.
• Perform design review and submittals review.
• Coordinate with relevant authorities for processing and approval of Building Completion Certificate.
• Provide resolution for technical engineering problems within the assigned discipline(s) and coordinate application of solutions to ensure progression on site.
• Oversee junior engineers and inspectors for all structural and civil works and ensure that construction activities comply with contractual obligations and quality control standards.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

• Structural/Civil Engineering Degree holder with MME Grade A registration as minimum.
• 12+ years of experience in design review and construction supervision of structural and civil construction, and ability to lead and manage structural and/or multidisciplinary teams on residential, commercial, industrial, education, health, transport, and infrastructure projects.
• Advanced understanding of Structural codes and standards.
• Understanding of local authority, utility, Kahra-maa and QCDD requirements (relevant to structural/civil disciplines).
• Flexibility to work in a multi‑project environment.
• Proficiency with industry standard software (MS Office, AutoCAD, Power
  
  CAD, AGI
  32/Dialux, Bluebeam/Adobe Acrobat).
• Ability/desire to carry out coordinated design review in the Revit/BIM environment.
