Responsibilities- Accountable for all interface activities during Phase 3.1 project execution from pre‑FEED to completion.
- Define, implement and follow up all necessary tools and procedures related to interface management.
- Develop and maintain the Interface Management Plan for the project.
- Identify all internal and external interfaces across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, HSE, Operations, Drilling, CPD and third‑party contractors.
- Facilitate communication between departments (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, QA/QC, HSE) and external stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain an Interface Register to track all interface issues and actions.
- Monitor and resolve interface‑related issues promptly to prevent project delays.
- Ensure compliance with Qatari regulations, client requirements (e.g., Qatar Energy standards) and project specifications.
- Organise regular interface meetings and provide progress reports to the Interface & Supply Chain Manager.
- Ensure all interface activities comply with project specifications, contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
- Identify interface risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of all interface agreements and communications.
- Demonstrate exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE and implement HSSE rules and requirements within the area of responsibility.
- Coordinate with other interface engineers, discipline engineers and contractor personnel to address non‑contractual interfaces.
- Organise and/or attend technical interface meetings as necessary.
- Ensure consistency and correct interfacing during EPC detailed design, procurement, fabrication, installation and coordinate between packages.
- Ensure timely review of documentation to identify clashes/conflicts.
- Coordinate and follow‑up of E&C G&G surveys throughout Phase 2 execution.
- Follow‑up during EPCIC phases on progress of ESIA studies with HSEQ to secure Consent To Construct certificates.
- Prepare before the start of the FEED the engineering contractor interface procedure and deploy specific tools.
- Manage communication interface with other operators during Pre‑FEED, FEED and EPCIC phases.
- Put in place interface agreement with other operators before the start of FEED.
- Follow up 3rd‑party interfaces (e.g., logistic) during the EPCIC phase.
- Define contractual interfaces resulting from the split of contracts and ensure contractual documents reflect the split of responsibilities.
- Oversee the implementation of the interface management process by the project team and contractor(s). Keep the Interface Task Register (ITR) and Interface Document Register (IDR) updated.
- Attend all interface‑related meetings, workshops, HAZID/HAZOP meetings, meetings with contractors to ensure control of battery limits.
- Organise, control and follow‑up process to have all deliverables issued by contractors for all interfaces and control the quality of these deliverables during FEED and EPCIC phases.
- Assist EPCIC contractor(s) in closing out interfaces and expedite exchange of Interface Task Sheet.
- Ensure that EPCIC contractors provide proper reporting of the progress of their interface activities.
- Avoid change orders and delays caused by interface issues by ensuring timely follow‑up during FEED and EPCIC phases. Anticipate problems and propose technical solutions with contractors and engineering managers.
- Liaise with other departments such as Drilling & Wells and Reservoir.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
- 8–10 years of professional experience in engineering and/or project management, with at least 3 years in interface management or coordination roles.
- Understanding of EPC project lifecycle, multidisciplinary engineering and construction processes.
- Broad spectrum of skills and competencies in various engineering disciplines and/or interface management.
- Good knowledge of contractual matters and of well‑head platform projects and operations (plus).
- Proficiency in project management tools (Primavera, MS Project).
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve conflicts.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
- H2S OPITO and T‑BOSIET trainings.
