Roads Design Engineer

Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Road Design Engineer to join our team in Qatar. In this role you will get to work on projects that change the fabric of our community.

• Design horizontal and vertical roadway alignments and super elevation diagrams.
• Managing Associate Engineers in completing project deliverables.
• Develop details to construction, detour, signing & marking.
• Coordinate with project team and interdisciplinary technical personnel.
• Assists the senior staff in completing the project deliverables.
• Provide support for other engineering activities as required.
• Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

• At least a BAchelors Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in the field of highway and roadway design using Autodesk Civil3D, Microstation and Geo Pak design software.
• A thorough working knowledge of AASHTO design guidelines is required.
• Roadway & Highway design experience in Qatar projects.
• Must be MME certified.
• Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal and have experience in composing correspondence related to his responsibilities.

• The Engineer at this level is proficient in the utilization of standard engineering theories and practices and Company procedure. Some assignments involve CAE/computer aided engineering/cad/computer aided design applications.
