Works Inspector (MEP)
Parsons is looking for an experienced Works Inspector (MEP) to join our team in Qatar. In this role you will oversee and inspect daily site operations related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) construction, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections of MEP construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and report on work progress, identifying potential delays or issues and recommending corrective actions to keep the project on track.
- Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure they meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Ensure proper documentation of all inspections, including daily reports, safety reports, and quality control checks.
- Coordinate with construction teams to ensure smooth execution of MEP works, such as electrical installations, plumbing, drainage systems, water supply networks, and road-related utilities.
- Manage site safety, ensuring all workers adhere to safety protocols and minimize risks associated with MEP works.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services required for MEP works.
- Assist with testing and commissioning, ensuring MEP components meet necessary quality and functionality standards before handover.
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in MEP construction inspection, with at least 5 years in an inspection role for large‑scale infrastructure projects such as roads, drainage systems, water supply networks, and sewer systems.
- Strong understanding of MEP construction standards, codes, and regulations.
- Proficient in MS Office and inspection reporting software.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
- Proactive problem‑solving abilities and ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
- Strong attention to detail ability to review and check construction work for accuracy and compliance.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple inspection activities simultaneously.
- Familiarity with international construction standards and local codes, particularly in the Middle East or GCC.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and other MEP engineering design software.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects at the same time.
