Key Responsibilities
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and technical documents to understand scope of work.
  • Prepare detailed and itemized estimates for electrical systems including LV, lighting, power distribution, earthing, fire alarm, BMS, and ELV systems.
  • Conduct quantity take‑offs from engineering drawings (manual or using software).
  • Request and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for materials and services.
  • Analyze project risks, construction methodologies, and resources to determine cost implications.
  • Develop and maintain a database of costs, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with project teams including design, procurement, and project managers to ensure cost accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in value engineering and alternative cost‑effective solutions.
  • Participate in bid preparation and client presentations.
  • Ensure estimates meet relevant standards and codes (e.g., NEC, IEC).
  • Stay updated on market rates, material prices, and technological developments.
