Our client, a leading multinational engineering company involved in major Oil & Gas projects, is urgently seeking a Senior CAD Technician – Process Discipline to join their team in Doha. As a Senior CAD Technician (Process), you will convert initial design concepts, sketches, and engineering markups into accurate and high-quality Process engineering drawings, including PFDs, P&IDs, process schematics, and layouts. You will support the engineering team by developing detailed construction drawings, maintaining drawing integrity, and reviewing work produced by junior drafting staff. You will also ensure full adherence to project CAD and drafting standards within the Process discipline.

• Analyze and apply project CAD and Process drafting standards.
• Produce all Process discipline drawings required for project submissions and handover.
• Prepare accurate PFDs, P&IDs, line lists, process schematics, isometrics, and other process-related drawings from sketches or engineering markups.
• Generate field sketches and as-built updates for Process systems when required.
• Support the development and enforcement of drawing management procedures (naming, revision control, storage, and change control).
• Ensure correct application of Process-specific drawing conventions and symbology.
• Collaborate with Process Engineers and Designers to clarify drawing requirements and resolve inconsistencies.
• Work with various 2D drawings and integrate information from 3D models when applicable.
• Conduct self-checks to ensure accuracy and perform quality checks on drawings completed by junior CAD technicians.
• Configure and operate plotters; prepare plot files and manage print requirements.
• Participate in technical and project meetings, reviews, and coordination sessions as needed.
• Continuously enhance technical knowledge in Process drafting standards and CAD technologies.
• Perform other duties assigned by the company in support of project execution.

• Diploma in Engineering Technology (Process, Chemical, Mechanical, or related discipline)
• OR relevant drafting trade certification (ITI).
• Strong proficiency in 2D drafting using AutoCAD, Micro Station, Smart Sketch, or similar software.
• Experience in creating and modifying PFDs, P&IDs, and Process system layouts is essential.
• Exposure to producing drawings from 3D models (e.g., Smart Plant, PDMS, E3D) is an added advantage.
• 5–7 years of relevant CAD drafting experience in the Process discipline, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to drawing accuracy.
• Solid knowledge of Process engineering drafting standards and Oil & Gas practices.
• Ability to manage multiple drawings and meet project deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience working in Oil & Gas EPC or consultancy environments is highly preferred.
