Job Description
The Senior Planning Engineer will lead all planning activities across assigned projects, ensuring timely preparation and management of programs, progress tracking, and resource planning. The role requires a proactive professional capable of liaising with project stakeholders and providing clear, data-driven insights to support decision‑making and performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare baseline programs and progress documents including S-curves, cash flow curves, KPIs, and manpower/equipment histograms.
- Monitor critical paths and prepare schedule impact reports for management.
- Prepare internal monthly targets, progress reports, and recovery programs.
- Draft contractual letters and extension of time (EOT) applications.
- Develop mitigation plans and revised programs.
- Maintain project risk register and upload project delivery KPIs in APMS systems.
- Conduct progress meetings and presentations.
- Liaise with procurement and planning teams for submittals and schedule coordination.
- Provide planning and scheduling advice to project management and site teams.
- Ensure compliance with project timelines, identify delays, and propose corrective actions.
- Perform other planning-related duties as required.
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. - Experience:
Minimum 15 years in construction project planning, preferably in large infrastructure or road projects in Qatar/GCC. - Software Proficiency:
- Primavera (Advanced Level)
- Microsoft Project (Advanced Level)
- Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
