Role
Purpose:
Support the Project Manager in progressing and managing project deliverables, ensuring high quality and compliance with timelines. Focus on the design, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical control systems and equipment in oil and gas operations, with strong emphasis on safety‑critical systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline
- Minimum 8 years' experience in electrical engineering within the oil and gas industry
- Proficiency in SAP and Meridium
- Experience in installation and commissioning of electrical equipment
- Support project delivery by ensuring quality, compliance, and timely execution of electrical engineering tasks
- Design, develop, and maintain electrical control systems for onshore and offshore operations
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard analysis, implementing mitigation strategies
- Prepare technical reports, procedures, and documentation
- Develop performance standards for safety‑critical systems and elements
- Ensure all maintainable safety‑critical electrical equipment has effective assurance tasks and appropriate frequencies
- Identify and verify safety‑critical equipment across electrical systems
- Develop and improve equipment strategies within SAP/Meridium
- Prepare and implement preventive maintenance change requests (PMCRs) and collaborate with RCM teams to ensure strategy implementation
- Work closely with other subject matter experts to develop performance standards and equipment strategies for barrier management projects
- Strong electrical engineering knowledge and technical expertise
- Strategic thinking and political awareness
- Ability to manage high‑pressure situations and multiple priorities
