JOB PURPOSE:
Execute maintenance operations including reviewing defect cards and work orders, organizing resources for planned and preventive maintenance, and conducting inspections, major overhauls, and repairs in assigned areas. Support continuous improvement and safety through daily reporting, risk assessments, toolbox talks, technical training for staff, and collaboration in developing and stocking essential spare parts.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Review and assess defect cards, work orders, and resource requirements such as manpower, materials, spares, equipment for assigned areas.
- Receive work permits and organize resources to execute planned and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Assist in preparing the scope of work and risk assessments for maintenance activities.
- Identify frequently used spare parts and suggest stock inventory levels.
- Execute planned inspections, major overhauls, breakdown maintenance, and major repair works.
- Mobilize manpower, equipment, and tools on site to carry out permitted works.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and maintain 4C safety cards.
- Report daily on work progress, issues, and resource needs.
- Assist in diagnosing faults and breakdowns in plant machinery and equipment.
- Provide technical training to staff, including Qatari nationals, ensuring skill enhancement and compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in the inspection of spare parts in the main store and aid fabricators and machinists in developing necessary machine parts.
- Ensure that QEWC policy is followed at the ground level during execution of work.
- Monitor the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budgets and ensure all activities are carried out in line with the approved guidelines while promptly reporting on any variances to management.
- Assist the head of section in preparing maintenance budget proposals and technical scopes for the planned work.
- Provide inputs and implement policies, systems and procedures for the assigned team so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled, while delivering a quality, cost‑effective service.
- Participate in the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
- Prepare sectional statements and reports timely and accurately to meet QEWC and department requirements, policies and quality standards.

- The role operates within a dynamic corporate environment where key decisions significantly impact the Operations & Maintenance division. Such decisions require consultation with and approval from the direct Line Manager before implementation.
- Operates under the mandates authorized by the responsible Line Manager, ensuring all functional and operational activities are managed with high standards of quality and reporting, thus upholding accountability and transparency.
- Participates in execution of Operations & Maintenance division comprehensive business and operational strategy. Responsible for contributing in meeting business and operational goals within functional area.
- Provides the leadership team with insightful information and data with regards to handled functional areas.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university.
