Overview
Perform civil & structural engineering activities for Projects Engineering Support division to execute key activities ensuring that all activities comply with standardised processes and are delivered to the highest standards.

- Reports to Lead of Civil Structural Engineer.
- Interface with Engineering & Projects (E&P) and Operations, HSE & Q, at Lead & Head Level.
- Regular contact with 3rd party service providers and contractors.
- Operates in technical environment with interface with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure contribution to other multi-disciplinary tasks whilst providing expertise in specialised area.
- As defined for this job level in the Delegation of Authority and/or approved budget.
- Ensure all activities are undertaken in compliance with Company Safety, Health and Environment and Quality policies, regulations, and standards.
- Contribute to the development of Qatari employees. This accountability is a condition of employment for expatriate employees.
- Ensure all activities undertaken comply with anti-trust and competition laws and the Company firewall policies and procedures.
- Prepare/review Conceptual Study, Design Basis, and civil/structural/infrastructure design and Consultant/Contractor design submission as per Qatar Energy LNG Specifications and International Codes and Qatar National Construction Standards.
- Provide technical support to all company Assets (Operations) identifying the timely solution of structural engineering to ensure Asset Integrity and Reliability sustaining Safe and Continuous Plant Environment.
- Provide civil/structural engineering technical support to maintenance and throughout Project Life Cycle (Pre-FEED/FEED/Detail Design stages/Execution stage) ensuring Quality and Flawless project execution.
- Support in complex analyses and assignments and provides expertise to ensure completion of activities within schedule.
- Develop/review Concept Packages and civil/structural engineering detailed drawings as per Company Project Management Systems (QATARENERGY LNGPMS).
- Perform/review all the necessary complex/high level structural analysis/design as per the applicable specification or codes along with computer analysis software e.g. STAAD for onshore.
- Provide civil/structural technical support in all sessions of RCFA, RHAZOP, RA, Lifting, Excavation Certificate, Inspection Program, Constructability, Value Engineering, 3D model, Capital Efficiency, Independent Project Review etc.
- Liaise with consultants or shareholders, represent company to external agencies and conduct technical presentations.
- Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering.
- 4 years' engineering experience in an oil and gas environment.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Attain and maintain competence in accordance with the technical competence framework requirements.
- Computer literate, and competent with a variety of engineering software tools.
- Salary:
- Day Rate in USD Plus Allowance
- Work Schedule:
- 10 Hours / 5 Days

- 24 months, with possible extension
