AUDIO VISUAL SYSTEM PRE-SALES ENGINEER

Responsibilities:

• Review designs, drawings, and engineering for AV systems.
• Provide Audio Visual System consultancy to enterprise level customers
• Identification of most suitable solution and products and complete most optimum economical design meeting the tender requirements and site conditions.
• Preparation of complete detailed technical proposal includes design schematic drawings/system architecture, site surveys, compliance.
• Attend Client Meetings for Technical clarifications or Technical Presentation.
• Proven experience in designing and commissioning Audio and Video systems.
• Strong knowledge of audio, video, control systems, and networking.
• Configure and program control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Extron) to manage and automate AV equipment, including touch panels, DSPs, and other system components.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
• Problem-solving ability and adaptability to changing project requirements.
• Proficient in creating and modifying detailed documentation.
• Ensure that sales, commercial and service teams receive pre-sales support as they request. Interface with the implementation / project team, articulating customer requirement, to ensure smooth transition from design to delivery

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or Electronic Engineering, Audio Engineering, IT, or related field complemented by professional certification.
• Certified CTS, Certified in Crestron, Extron, Biamp and other relevant manufacturers will be an advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of Audio Visual principles, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse stakeholders.
• Proactive and results-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability.
• In-depth understanding of the Middle East market dynamics and AV business practices.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, polished presentation abilities, and adeptness in oral and written communication, facilitating effective collaboration with executives, team members, and partners.

Responsibilities:

• Program and configure AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, etc.).
• Develop user interface (UI) layouts for touch panels and control devices.
• Write, test, and debug control system code according to project specifications.
• Integrate AV components with external systems (lighting, HVAC, network, etc.).
• Collaborate with AV engineers to interpret system schematics and signal flow diagrams.
• Develop functional and technical documentation for programmed systems.
• Assist in system design validation and provide input on hardware selection.
• Support onsite installation and commissioning of AV systems.
• Conduct system testing, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Provide technical support during handover and training for end-users.
• Maintain and update existing AV system programs as needed.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with system operation and performance.
• Provide remote and onsite support for troubleshooting and upgrades.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field technicians.
• Ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
• Participate in client meetings to define system requirements and workflows.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Audio Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent technical certifications or relevant work experience may substitute for degree requirements.
• 2–5 years of experience in AV system programming, integration, or commissioning.
• Proven experience with one or more control system platforms (e.g., Crestron SIMPL/VTPro-e, AMX Net Linx, Extron Global Scripter, Q-SYS Designer, Biamp Tesira).
• Experience with AV networking, signal routing, and system troubleshooting.
