Exciting opportunity for Engineering Manager at Qatar LNG provides company leadership to ensure that the project’s requirements for all engineering deliverables are fully executed by the EPC contractors per project schedule and quality requirements. Responsible for the engineering input to all tender package and requests for proposals and timely completion of all technical bid evaluations. Provides leadership to the project team in all aspects of personal and team behaviors.

Key accountabilities include ensuring that the design of the facilities meets project specifications, industry codes and standards, and good engineering practices. Responsible for project management system deliverables such as: design basis memorandum, design risk assessment, HAZOP, engineering surveillance plan, value engineering, application of lessons learned, and management of change process. Provide necessary leadership in support of the PMT. Application of lessons learned into the design as applicable.

Mentors and fosters the professional development of direct reports. Works in a highly visible project environment with large capital expenditures and significant schedule execution pressures. Works in a dynamic environment that has high expectations for flawless project execution in safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance, requiring the incumbent to demonstrate accuracy, initiative, and the ability to multi‑task as essential skills.

Well established awareness of policies and procedures with high expectations for business controls compliance and to further develop controls to meet changing needs. Effective team player who collaborates well and often with others with the highest levels of integrity, respect, professionalism, and communication skills. Establishes credibility with peers, subordinates, and supervisors.

Bachelors degree in engineering. 20+ years of experience in discipline with at least 10 years demonstrated leadership in engineering in offshore mega projects. Experience with large (20+ kt) offshore projects with floatover is preferred. Experience with EPC contractors, sub‑contractors, and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry. Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
