Senior Process Engineer

Opportunity at SPIE Global Services Energy Middle East LLC, Doha, Qatar.
Responsibilities- Environmental Compliance & Awareness:
Monitor EPCC Contractor activities to ensure compliance with Qatar Energy, MIC and MOECC regulations; ensure project‑specific environmental standards and best practices; promote environmentally responsible on‑site behavior through awareness campaigns. - Risk Management & Monitoring:
Identify and assess environmental risks specific to ammonia and urea production; collect and analyze monitoring data (air quality, noise, water, soil); recommend preventive and corrective actions based on results. - EPCC Contractor Oversight:
Review EPCC Contractor’s HSE procedures, focusing on environmental controls and mitigation measures; coordinate joint environmental campaigns; track responses to environmental issues and ensure timely closure of observations and non‑conformances. - Coordination & Support:
Support the Project HSE Manager in achieving full HSE compliance; participate in safety walks, inspections and audits; ensure contractual environmental obligations are met; report any deviations to Project Management. - Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive environmental records (permits, inspection reports, monitoring logs, incident reports); prepare and submit compliance reports to Project Management, MIC authorities and other stakeholders; contribute to monthly HSE dashboards with environmental KPIs. - Engineering Development & Cross‑Functional Reviews:
Actively participate in engineering development activities to integrate environmental considerations into design and execution; provide expert input for QRA, HAZID, HAZOP and EIA reviews. - Environmental Permitting & Consent to Operate:
Support EPCC Contractor in obtaining the Environmental Permit; set up a robust tracking system for all permit conditions; ensure timely compliance to facilitate receipt of Consent to Operate from MIC and other regulatory bodies.
Graduated with a minimum Higher Secondary School Education and a three‑year technical diploma (HNC, HND or equivalent).
Relevant experience: 3–5 years in planning integrated activities in offshore/on‑field equipment within diversified oil & gas or petrochemical plants.
Fluent in English (written and verbal). Good interpersonal and organizational skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.
- High School Diploma / Technical certificate in a discipline.
- Minimum 3 years recent experience in the petrochemical, refining, oil & gas exploration or production industries in a similar role.
Desired level of study: E‑Bachelor or equivalent.
Minimum experience:
6 years or more.
Working language(s):
English (C‑Professional working proficiency).
