Senior HSE Engineer Job Doha area,Qatar,Engineering

The Sr. HSE Engineer – Site is responsible for implementing and overseeing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management activities across Projects under the guidance of the HSE Manager.
The role ensures that all engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities are fully compliant with COMPANY's HSE policies, applicable legal requirements, and Project-specific HSE standards.

Management Systems

Maintain awareness of the company’s Integrated Management Systems (Quality, Environment, HSE, Responsible Care, Energy, and IFA Product Stewardship) and adhere to all related policies and procedures.
Prioritize and implement company and project HSEQ requirements in daily activities; demonstrate adherence to company and major projects’ specific HSE and Quality policies, PIM procedures, and official regulations.
Ensure strict implementation of HSE standards and project management systems.

Key Responsibilities

HSE Team Management: Lead the HSE team, promote a safety culture, ensure adequate staffing, and drive continuous improvement through mentoring.

Compliance with MIC & Labor Law: Ensure all activities comply with MIC protocols, Qatar Labor Law, and contract welfare standards; report violations as needed.

Emergency Response: Verify up‑to‑date, site‑specific emergency response plans are in place and drills are effective; coordinate with relevant authorities.

HSE Surveillance: Conduct daily inspections for compliance, intervene in unsafe acts, and maintain records with evidence.

HSE Safety Walks: Participate in safety walks, engage workers, promote hazard reporting, and document findings.

Monitoring Critical

Activities:

Oversee high‑risk activities, ensure permits and toolbox talks, and stop work if necessary for safety.

HSE Audits: Audit contractors and subcontractors on key safety activities, documenting non‑conformances and corrective actions.

Oversight During Critical Site

Activities:

Supervise high‑risk tasks, enforce risk assessments, and intervene when needed.

Module Transportation HSE: Review transport plans, verify safety measures, and monitor compliance during heavy module moves.

Marine & Jetty Expansion HSE: Oversee marine operations, ensuring regulatory and environmental compliance during jetty expansion.

HSE Investigations: Report incidents promptly, support investigations, track corrective actions, and verify closure.

Statistics & Reporting: Collect and compile HSE data for monthly reports, including incident rates and trend analysis.

Project Information Manual (PIM): Document lessons learned, identify and manage risks according to PIM procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience, with at least 5 years in major projects.
Bachelor’s Degree (12+4 years of education).
Professional Certification in HSE or related field.

Compensation and Working Conditions

Salary: Monthly Rate in USD (All inclusive)
Work Schedule: 8 Hours / 5 Days
Duration: 2 years, renewable
Location: Qatar
