We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Global Services Energy Middle East LLC (Doha, Qatar) for a Marine Work Engineer
.
- Project Planning & Design: prepare and review designs for marine structures based on civil engineering principles, conduct feasibility studies and site investigations.
- Construction Supervision: monitor and supervise marine construction activities to ensure adherence to specifications and timelines; coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders for smooth project execution.
- Technical Analysis: perform structural analysis and load calculations for marine infrastructure; ensure compliance with international marine engineering standards and local regulations.
- Quality & Safety: implement quality control measures and safety protocols on‑site, conduct risk assessments and environmental impact evaluations.
- Documentation & Reporting: prepare technical reports, progress updates and as‑built documentation; maintain accurate records of project activities and approvals.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Marine or Coastal Engineering specialization preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in marine construction projects (ports, jetties, dredging, breakwaters).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and marine design software; knowledge of geotechnical and hydrodynamic principles.
- Strong project management and communication skills; ability to work in challenging marine environments.
