Overview:
Responsible for Managing , Monitoring , Evaluation , Coordination of the Quality Control Personnel at the Project.
Qualification and Experience
Basic engineering degree and Twelve (12) years of working experience in the oil and gas industry of which Six (6) years must be in the Offshore with similar project in this role
CSWIP 3.2 or AWS
-SCWIASNT Level 2 (UT, RT, PT, MT)
Code Knowledge TWI, AWS D1.1, API 1104, API RP 2 X, ASME IX, ASME V, ASME III, API-650, Offshore structure Standard Skills
Primary Functions Report to Project QC Manager /Senior QC Engineer on the welding quality issues and any revision that may be required.
Communicate with site welding foremen & other QC personnel on welding quality related matters.
Ensure that Welding procedures distributed and updated to all at site as applicable.
Ensure that welders & welding operators possess adequate qualification and training.
Ensure that Welding activities in project are carried out according to the approved procedures.
Ensure sufficient and required type of Inspection instruments are available to take care of project requirements.
Ensure calibration welding equipments and test equipment.
Monitor the implementation of quality system.
Liaise with clients, third parties to resolve any quality issues which may arise during project execution.
Ensure that final certification dossiers are being prepared and submitted as per contract.
Liaise with Project Manager to allocate QC resources to meet each Site/Project requirement.
Exercise authority at the level determined by management for the position.
Guiding, directing, and motivating subordinates. Providing guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting standards and monitoring performance.
