Safety Operation Engineer Job Doha area,Qatar,Engineering

Responsibilities

He shall be responsible to maintain operational safety measures and to carry out periodical safety and protection checks for network operation.

Continuous and close liaison and coordination with field engineers and technicians to ensure that the concerned follow safety at switching operation strictly in accordance to Kahramaa safety rules and regulations and code of practice.

To carry out safety auditing for post fault analysis and investigation. Preparing the fault analysis reports in event of mal-operation, human error or abnormal event.

Weekly report to his superiors.

Participate in making suggestion for appropriate measures to improve and enhance the safety issues at operation and at work by suggesting the measures required to modify or update the safety rules and regulation, system operation memoranda, operation procedure and other related documents.

Assist in Defining the terms of reference (TOR) of Engineering Consultancy for review of existing safety rules, suggesting the addition or modification, development of code of practice. Review, follow-up and coordinate with consultancy project execution and progress.

Presenting a weekly performance report and findings.

Perform other related duties and responsibilities as asked by the Director, ENA. In event of leave of other engineer deputies for his work and responsibility.

Education & Qualifications

Graduate or Post Graduate in Electrical Engineering from a reputed Institution. Affiliation to reputed and established Professional Body.

Requirements

Must have minimum 10 years experience in major electrical utilities or licensees of international acclaim.
Must have minimum 5/10 years experience in operation and maintenance of HV/EHV up to 400 kV Network.
Must have thorough knowledge of safety (operation) rules and regulation, international Grid Code and safety operation procedure with direct involvement and participating.
Should have innovative and modest approach to carry out the job and responsibility.
Should have command and fluency on English language to communicate and prepare draft and reports.
