Job Summary
We are seeking 2-3 experienced Protection Relay Engineers to perform Configuration, Testing, and Commissioning (CT&C) of GE protection relays. The ideal candidates must have hands‑on experience using GE Ener Vista configuration software and proven field experience with GE numerical relays.
Key Responsibilities- Perform configuration, parameter setting, testing, and commissioning of GE protection relays.
- Execute secondary injection testing, functional testing, and commissioning checks.
- Prepare and review relay setting files, test reports, and commissioning documentation.
- Troubleshoot protection relay issues during testing and site commissioning.
- Coordinate with site engineers, clients, and project teams to ensure timely completion of activities.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, protection philosophies, and safety standards.
Candidates must have experience with some or all of the following GE relay models:
- MM300
- M60
- F60
- G60
- G30
- GL90
- T60
- B90
- MiCOM MIV II
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in protection relay configuration, testing, and commissioning.
- Strong hands‑on experience with GE Ener Vista software.
- Solid understanding of:
- Transformer protection
- Generator protection
- Motor protection
- Feeder protection
- Busbar protection
- Experience with secondary injection test kits (e.g., Omicron, Megger, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret protection schemes, SLDs, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Relevant certifications in protection testing or commissioning are an advantage.
