Job Title: Lead Instrumentation & Electrical Engineer (Petrochemical)
Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Lead Instrumentation & Electrical Engineer with strong exposure to maintenance, reliability, and technical support in a large-scale petrochemical or process industry. The role requires hands‑on leadership experience, deep technical expertise in I&E systems, and strong knowledge of process safety and functional safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead maintenance, reliability, and technical support activities for field instrumentation and electrical distribution/protection systems in a large process plant.
- Provide technical leadership for plant instrumentation, control valves, SIS, and safety‑critical systems.
- Support design, engineering review, and lifecycle maintenance of I&E systems in compliance with international standards.
- Manage and support high and medium voltage systems (132/33/6 kV) including switchgears, MCCs, transformers, and large induction motors.
- Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), and applicable safety regulations.
- Act as a technical authority for troubleshooting, failure analysis, and reliability improvement initiatives.
- Lead and mentor engineers and technicians in I&E maintenance and reliability best practices.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering.
- 7–10 years of total experience, with at least 3 years in a Lead or Senior role within a petrochemical or large process industry.
- Strong hands‑on experience in instrumentation maintenance, electrical systems, and reliability engineering.
- Proven expertise in SIS, control valves, plant instrumentation, and electrical protection systems.
- In‑depth knowledge of IEC, IEEE, ISA, FCI standards and Functional Safety standards (IEC 61511 / ISA 84).
- Solid understanding of OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, and process safety regulations.
- Functional Safety Engineer Certification (FS Eng / CFSP / CFSE) from TÜV, Exida, or equivalent – Mandatory.
- Reliability & Maintenance certifications such as CMRP, CRE – Preferred.
