As a Lead Planning Engineer in Engine Facility, you will plan, control and lead Engine Facility Production Planning activity that includes Off-wing engine/APU (auxiliary power unit) maintenance tasks, component repairs, Borescope Operation to meet Qatar Airways operational requirements in-line with the quality and legislative requirements as set by Qatar Airways Quality Assurance and respective regulatory authorities.

Operational Accountabilities;

Organize and control the workflow through the Engine Facility to assure no production delay or work stoppage related to planning to meet operational requirements of maintaining the two readies for installation engines for each type of fleet and meet engine and APU (auxiliary power unit) dispatch targets.

Communicate with Part-CAMO (power plant engineering) and engine facility off-wing team to assign the particular engine serial numbers as per aircraft configuration requirement and set the priority based on the engine installation plan.

Manage and control the work in progress engine, APU (auxiliary power unit), component status and identify the critical path for in-time completion to meet the engine facility set turnaround time (TAT).

Organize and control required maintenance packages of Engines, APU's (auxiliary power unit) and components (within the capability) are available and accomplished as per approved regulatory standards.

Prepare the daily and weekly plans for the Engine Facility production staff to ensure man power utilization and productivity are achieved in an efficient and safe manner in accordance with engine facility production targets to avoid aircraft delays caused by unavailability of engines / apu's (auxiliary power unit).

Review and authorize shop task cards in TRAX created by concerned planning engineer as per engine facility capability to enable engine facility production staff to perform the maintenance and repair on engines, APU's (auxiliary power unit) and other components as per instructions provided in the shop task cards.

Review and monitor technical support equipment and premises within engine facility and ensure that all are being maintained to an acceptable standard of maintenance, safety and appearance and in compliance with Company Health and safety policy to provide safe working environment of engine facility planning staff.

Compile and review Engine Facility performance quarterly / annually forecasted reports in-terms of capacity, capability and man power/ man hour planning and prepare engine facility dash board to be presented to Technical Management on weekly basis.

Proposed the engine maintenance budget and review engine facility finance dashboard on quarterly basis and provide feedback to the engine facility management on budget escalation related to high cost material consumption.

Continuously monitor and review the engine facility work processes and procedures to ensure that they are clear and effective to use by all staff under engine facility planning by having regular feedback, implement any update in the processes and technical procedure (TPM) where required.

Communicate with 3rd party customers to provide charged services as per engine facility capability and ensure to track and claim all services provided to 3rd part customer related to BSI services, Production task services, storage services etc. to meet the engine facility fiscal year revenue target.

Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
