Planning Engineer – Oil & Gas (EPC / Consultancy)

Contract Duration: 6 Months (Extendable) – Salary: 14,000 – 15,000 QAR (Full Package, All‑Inclusive) –

Experience:

5–9 Years – Industry: Oil & Gas (Preferred EPC / PMC / Consultancy)

Our client is looking for a highly skilled Planning Engineer for a 6‑month extendable position to support planning and scheduling activities across Concept, FEED, and Detailed Engineering phases. The ideal candidate will bring solid experience in project scheduling, progress measurement, and reporting within the Oil & Gas industry.

• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules for Concept, FEED, and Detailed Engineering phases using Primavera P6.
• Establish and manage the Engineering Progress Measurement System (PMS) including WBS, progress curves, productivity norms, and forecasting.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to collect progress data and ensure accurate schedule updates.
• Prepare and issue weekly and monthly progress reports including KPIs, S‑curves, histograms, dashboards, and narratives.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, project procedures, and client requirements.
• Provide schedule analysis, risk insights, and forecasting to project teams.

• B.Tech / BE in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Chemical, or Civil Engineering.
• 5–9 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector (EPC / PMC / Consultancy preferred).
• Strong experience in planning and scheduling for Concept, FEED, and Detailed Engineering stages.
• Mandatory proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Solid understanding of engineering deliverables and interdisciplinary workflows.
• Experience developing PMS, S‑curves, progress curves, and manpower histograms.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
