Job SummaryThe Mechanical Project Engineer is responsible for leading and managing mechanical engineering projects, ensuring design precision, adherence to standards, and on‑time project completion. Coordinates project teams, oversees mechanical installations, and implements strategies to optimise efficiency and performance in the mechanical engineering domain.
Responsibilities- Ensure project discipline works are executed in accordance with relevant contract documents, including discipline drawings, specifications, BOQ, main contractor program and any superseding documents.
- Execute mechanical works efficiently within approved cost, time, and quality constraints.
- Ensure compliance with statutory authorities (DEWA, DM, CD, Health and Safety and other applicable standards).
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Ensure satisfaction of client, consultant, main contractor and MEP project manager.
- Guide discipline engineers through the project management process, assign targets, verify procurement, submittal schedules, and shop drawing schedules.
- Plan and allocate responsibilities to team members; approve design calculations; prepare monthly invoice applications with QS; review and sign‑off material submittals and requisitions.
- Prepare schedule of method statements in compliance with specifications and budget.
- Liaise with technical department for relevant authority approvals.
- Handle cost planning, commercial management, value engineering, contract administration and estimation.
- Support development, strategy, quantification and reconciliation for project related claims.
- Support HSE initiatives and safety activities.
- Excellent knowledge of material engineering properties and local/global availability.
- Excellent technical skills in preparing technical drawings.
- Proficient in computer applications and systems.
Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years relevant, 2 years Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) a plus.

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
