QS Engineer

Job Description

Job Purpose:

Responsible for managing all aspects of cost estimation, budgeting, and quantity surveying for building construction, renovations in BSTC aligns with Ashghal standards and procedures. The QS Engineer ensures that project costs are accurately monitored, controlled, and reported throughout the project lifecycle of multiple sites.

• Evaluate tender documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy in quantities.
• Review and verify interim payment applications, variations, and claims from contractors.
• Conduct site measurements, cost tracking, and forecasting for all project activities.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and contractors for cost and progress updates.
• Maintain up-to-date records of all contract correspondence, claims, and financial reports.
• Prepare cash flow projections and assist in project budgeting and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with Ashghal specifications, FIDIC conditions of contract, and company standards.
• Support the procurement team in preparing tender evaluations and bid comparisons.
• Participate in value engineering and cost optimization reviews.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years on Ashghal projects (Building Constructions).
• Strong knowledge of Ashghal specifications, procedures, and document formats.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel.
• Familiarity with FIDIC contract conditions.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
