Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inspector – Mechanical to join our team in Qatar. As an Inspector Mechanical, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of mechanical systems in various construction projects throughout the city.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and water supply, to ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and building codes.
  • Coordinate daily with other teams to document and verify the quality and quantity of work performed by contractors.
  • Process incoming inspection requests and technical submittals, taking necessary actions as required.
  • Read and interpret package contract documents, detailed drawings, and specifications, including any associated updates.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with standards and specifications through observation, measurements, and testing.
  • Maintain accurate records of contractor manpower and equipment resources on a daily basis.
  • Perform site supervision and inspections as instructed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer.
  • Document contractor activities, including personnel, equipment, location, and methods utilized.
  • Monitor and report on material deliveries and implement site instructions as directed by leadership.
  • Apply and enforce quality control procedures and quality assurance processes on-site.
  • Prepare site measurements and conduct surveying checks as needed.
  • Monitor health and safety practices during construction works and report any violations.
  • Write clear and concise reports detailing inspection findings and recommendations.
Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems.
  • Check equipment installation, pipe routing, and system supports.
  • Attend pressure tests, balancing, and commissioning sessions.
  • Verify compliance with material submittals and method statements.
  • Raise and follow up on inspection observations and NCRs.
  • Diploma in Engineering required (Bachelor's degree preferred for career advancement).
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Construction Supervision with a Consultancy, specifically in mechanical-related projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical methodologies, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and water supply systems.
