Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Foreman for an upcoming offshore project. The successful candidate will oversee all electrical installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and project timelines. This role requires a strong background in both onshore and offshore electrical work with a focus on team leadership and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible in offshore electrical installation, testing, and maintenance.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Coordinate with project management, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth execution of electrical works.
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
- Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
- Oversee the testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment.
- Monitor work progress, report daily activities, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including daily logs, inspection reports, and as-built drawings.
- Foster a safety-first culture and ensure all team members adhere to HSE policies and procedures.
Experience &
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of onshore electrical experience, with at least 3–5 years in an offshore environment.
- Proven experience as a Foreman or Supervisor in electrical construction, maintenance, or commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of offshore electrical systems, including HV/LV distribution, MCCs, lighting, and instrumentation.
- Familiarity with international standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, ATEX) and offshore safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, P&IDs, and layout drawings.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., COMPEX, HUET, BOSIET, OPITO) are preferred.
