Position Title

Senior Electrical Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• MMUP Grade A certified engineer preferred.

• Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, specifically within large-scale buildings, infrastructure, and civil projects.
• Strong understanding of international standards and Qatar Energy regulations relevant to electrical engineering.
• Proven ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and quality across multiple concurrent engineering projects.
• Proficient in modern electrical design software and tools.
• Demonstrated capability in resolving technical challenges, including cross-disciplinary coordination.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluency in English is required.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle urgent, unscheduled activities effectively.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to coordinate and foster teamwork among internal and external stakeholders.

• Serve as the discipline lead, ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical services in electrical engineering.
• Conduct concept development, feasibility studies, detailed design, and preparation of engineering documentation in accordance with approved standards and procedures.
• Review, verify, and approve technical designs, specifications, and bid evaluations to ensure compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
• Provide timely engineering support to meet project milestones and execution schedules.
• Offer expert advice and technical guidance throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, from concept to commissioning.
• Lead and coordinate a team of engineers to deliver technical services to project execution departments, including strategy reviews and execution planning.
• Support the discipline head/lead in maintaining and updating Qatar Energy’s electrical engineering standards.
• Participate in technical assurance and standardization initiatives to ensure alignment with approved discipline standards.
• Review and endorse technical deviations, waivers, and variations from established codes, standards, and practices.
• Ensure full implementation of applicable environmental, process, and safety policies within the scope of electrical engineering.
• Contribute to the development of engineering competencies, including structured training programs for Qatari engineers under development.
