Overview
The Patient Services Specialist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors at The Pearl International Hospital. The role focuses on delivering a smooth, respectful, and efficient experience by managing front office operations, coordinating appointments, assisting with registration, and responding to enquiries. The Specialist supports hospital flow through clear communication, attention to detail, and a patient-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome patients and visitors and guide them to the correct service
  • Manage appointment bookings, confirmations, and cancellations
  • Register patients accurately in the hospital system and verify documents
  • Answer phone calls and respond to enquiries
  • Coordinate with nursing, medical, and support teams for patient flow
  • Collect payments and issue receipts when required
  • Ensure the reception area remains organized and presentable
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient information
Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare reception, front desk, or customer service role.
  • Experience in a hospital or clinical environment is preferred.
  • Must be located in Qatar or able to relocate immediately.
  • Clear command of English in speaking and writing
  • Must be flexible to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Professional appearance and communication
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospital software systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Professional demeanor and patient-centric attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a general hospital front office
  • Experience with appointment booking or patient registration
  • Ability to read, speak and write Arabic is an advantage
  • Familiarity with hospital information systems
  • Experience in handling payments and billing
  • Ability to manage busy periods calmly and manage multiple tasks
