Position Summary:
The Hygiene Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards across the restaurant operations. This role ensures that all outlets consistently meet regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and monitor Food Safety Management Systems (HACCP/ISO across all restaurant operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of kitchen, storage, preparation, and service areas to ensure hygiene compliance.
- Monitor food handling, storage, and preparation practices to ensure proper hygiene and prevent contamination.
- Ensure proper personal hygiene practices are followed by all staff.
- Conduct routine temperature checks for food, chillers, freezers, and delivery vehicles.
- Train employees on hygiene, sanitation, and food safety practices.
- Maintain and update hygiene records, reports, cleaning schedules, and documentation required for audits.
- Coordinate with external auditors and government authorities during inspections.
- Identify potential food safety risks and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Monitor and ensure proper pest control measures are in place.
- Inspect restaurant waste management processes and cleanliness of the entire facility.
- Follow up on non-compliances and ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure all chemicals and cleaning materials are safely handled and stored.
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Food Safety, Microbiology, Environmental Health, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Hygiene Officer in the F&B/restaurant industry.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety regulations, and hygiene standards.
- Certification in Food Safety/HACCP (Level 3 or above) preferred.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple outlets.
- Must be available to join immediately.
