DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Application Support Development Specialist to maintain the integrity, availability, and reliability of our Real-Time Information Systems (RTIS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for system administration, incident management, and interface development within the Oil & Gas sector.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform system health checks, implement remedial actions, and report on system integrity.
Maintain system availability targets and resolve incidents to ensure operational efficiency.
Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot system interfaces (OPC, API, etc.).
Implement technology solutions, including enhancements and security vulnerability fixes.
Support testing phases (UAT, Regression) for system changes and new projects.
Develop documentation and provide training/coaching to end-users and junior engineers.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system and data integrity.
Education Qualifications and SkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Required ExperienceA minimum of 10 years of combined experience in IT and Plant Information Systems / MES / RTIS within the Oil & Gas industry.
Proven Aveva PI Engineering Services experience on at least three Oil & Gas projects in the last five years.
Strong development experience with the latest versions of Aveva PI.
Hands‑on experience with OPC, custom API interfaces, and Batch File interfaces.
Preferred SkillsExperience with PI‑to‑PI, PI‑SAP interfaces, and tools like AF SDK, PI Vision, and PI Web API.
Familiarity with Pipeline Management Systems, Electronic Permit to Work, or Operator Round automation systems.
Personal SkillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with project stakeholders and produce clear, concise reports in English.
