Job Purpose:

Responsible in developing strategy that Qatar Airways Information Security is governed and compliant to both business and regulatory needs that ensure the IT controls are implemented in standardised manners in order to safeguard Qatar Airways information asset, the best returns on IT investments, and maintain all required IT safe and compliance requirements.

• Finalize and approve implementation plans by developing IT Security and Compliance program that will strengthen IT governance and processes, and will ensure the right resource and tools are in place, to increase the business ability to proactively and reactively deal with IT Security threats and incidents.
• Drive and participate cross stakeholder communication and actions to resolve exceptions, and drive to deliver outcomes.
• Evaluate overall progress of plans with promoting continuous service improvement within the organization. Drive and assess the IT Risk management governance, framework, tools and implementation and ensure that progress on executing mitigation plans is tracked and reported and all security risks are managed through their lifecycle.
• Plan and recommend on IT Security and Compliance, IT Performance and on IT Projects in a timely manner for the purpose of communicating information, gaining feedback and ensuring adherence to established internal controls.
• Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

About You:

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 10 years of job-related experience
• Previous work experience in leading security functions (governance, operations, or engineering), OR similar levels of IT functions involving security processes and controls implementations. Previous leadership experiences, including team and people management.
• Good command of English: articulate and clear communicator
• Ability to lead and define clear strategies and plans
• Ability to unify the team's ways of working
• Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.

Preferred:

• Experiences in board and regulatory reporting.
• Multi-cultural leadership experiences.
• Good presentation skills including the ability to create convincing presentation
