Black & Grey HR is recruiting for an established technology solutions and services provider in Doha, Qatar. Our client is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to design and implement secure, scalable, and high‑performing cloud environments to support ICT systems across sports venues and major events. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure automation, and performance optimization across Azure and / or Google Cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Design and build secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on Azure or Google Cloud to support mission‑critical applications in sports venue environments.
- Select and configure cloud services for compute, networking, storage, and databases while balancing performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) and Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
- Optimize cloud environments for scalability, high availability, and lifecycle reliability during both event and non‑event operational periods.
- Implement strong security controls including IAM configurations, encryption standards, network segmentation, and compliance alignment.
- Ensure adherence to industry security standards and data privacy regulations in Qatar and internationally.
- Develop monitoring frameworks to track cloud health, performance, utilization, and cost metrics.
- Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks and reliability risks.
- Automate routine operational workflows and monitoring tasks to enhance efficiency and response times.
- Maintain documentation covering cloud architecture designs, configurations, workflows, and operational procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IT, with 6+ years in cloud architecture or similar roles.
- Certification in at least two of the following is required :
- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect
- Cloud Computing Professional (CCP)
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing cloud solutions across Azure, Google Cloud, and / or AWS.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise cloud administration, virtualization, networking, and security best practices.
- Hands‑on experience with Azure and Google native security tools, network services, and cloud automation frameworks.
- Proven ability to design resilient, scalable, and cost‑optimized cloud environments.
