About the Role

We're hiring a Marketing & Communications Lead to own the Studio's brand narrative and ecosystem presence — across content, communications, events, and storytelling.

You'll define how Utopia Studio and the broader platform show up in the world — from founder stories and media coverage to ecosystem partnerships and events. You're part brand architect, part storyteller, and part community builder.

This is a strategic and hands‑on role. You'll focus on what’s essential to build credibility and visibility while working with trusted agencies and freelancers for PR, design, and production.

Reports to: Studio Directors (with a dotted line to the Managing Partner on fund and platform‑related communications)
Growth path: Head of Brand & Ecosystem / Chief Marketing Officer

Responsibilities Brand & Communications Strategy
  • Develop and evolve The Studio and Utopia brands, keeping them consistent across ventures, partners, and media

  • Lead our overall communications strategy — focusing on high‑impact narratives, ecosystem storytelling, and founder visibility

  • Translate complex AI, product, and venture ideas into human, compelling stories

  • Manage agencies and freelancers for design, PR, and content execution

  • Ensure every message reinforces our mission of making Doha the launchpad for AI‑native innovation

Content Creation & Storytelling
  • Ghostwrite and edit founder stories, venture updates, and thought leadership pieces for investors, founders, and partners

  • Oversee Intersections — The Studio’s content journal and podcast — documenting people, ideas, and breakthroughs shaping AI‑native innovation

  • Create a cohesive multi‑format content rhythm (articles, short videos, newsletters, digital campaigns) to drive awareness and inbound interest

  • Employ AI‑powered asset generation (text, video, audio) and automated campaign variants to power high‑velocity storytelling across ventures and regions.

  • Optimise Utopia’s content for generative AI platforms (LLMs, chat bots, voice assistants) so our brand and venture stories are surfaced in AI‑driven discovery paths.

Events, PR & Ecosystem Engagement
  • Lead Utopia’s presence at major ecosystem events (Web Summit Qatar, LEAP, regional innovation forums)

  • Coordinate Studio‑hosted events like founder salons, and ecosystem showcases - supported by event partners and agencies

  • Build relationships with journalists, ecosystem enablers, and thought leaders to secure meaningful coverage

  • Partner with QDB and other key stakeholders on joint campaigns that highlight the region’s innovation stories

Platform & Community Marketing
  • Support communication alignment across Utopia’s pillars — Funds, OS, and Studio

  • Ensure a cohesive narrative that connects venture success, platform growth, and regional positioning

  • Design scalable community initiatives (newsletters, collaborations, online communities) that keep the ecosystem engaged

  • Build and execute a “segment‑of‑one” content strategy: using AI models to personalise outreach, community prompts and engagement for individual founders, partners, and investors.

  • Use automated listening and social intelligence tools (AI‑powered) to monitor ecosystem sentiment, detect opportunities/trends, and feed insights into venture positioning.
