Job Purpose

Summary:

The
Network Specialist
will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing large-scale network infrastructure to ensure high performance, reliability, and security throughout the Arab Cup event. The role involves handling complex network configurations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing network systems to maintain seamless connectivity and operational excellence.

• Design, configure and manage large-scale network infrastructures including LAN, WAN and wireless networks.
• Implement and maintain network security, routing, switching and VLAN configurations.
• Monitor network performance using tools such as
  Wireshark
  ,
  Nagios
  , or
  Solar Winds
  to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of network incidents and provide quick resolutions to ensure uptime.
• Support event network setup, testing and go‑live activities for the Arab Cup event.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate and optimise network solutions.
• Document network architecture, configurations and troubleshooting procedures.
• Ensure compliance with organisational and security standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (preferred).
• Professional
  
  Certifications:
  
  CCNP or CCIE (mandatory).
• Deep understanding of
  Network Concepts, Protocols and Technologies
  — TCP/IP, VLANs, Routing, Switching, Wireless Technologies.
• Hands‑on experience in network design, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Expertise with
  Network Monitoring Tools
  — Wireshark, Nagios, Solar Winds.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to perform under pressure and within tight event timelines.
