OverviewSOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Maintenance Inspector to support the Contractor's labor force and resources in meeting the overall O&M requirements of the Contract. The Maintenance Inspector is responsible for ensuring that equipment, machinery, and systems operate efficiently and safely, and that all maintenance is performed in accordance with all applicable standard operating procedures and policies. The Maintenance Inspector supports the Quality Assurance Manager and will report to the Program Manager.
- Perform mechanical inspections of plant equipment.
- Conduct inspections for code compliance.
- Review maintenance records.
- Verifies mark-up of drawings/schematics and collection of equipment data.
- Analyze and develop maintenance procedures, reconcile engineering drawings, and document inspection requirements.
- Conduct non-destructive testing and maintain records of daily visual emissions.
- Manage internal and external quality control methods and policies for measuring, tracking, analyzing, reporting and implementing predictive, preventive and corrective actions required to ensure the quality performance standards required by the PWS and customer satisfaction are met.
- Recommends additional or remedial work, if required.
- Researches and prepares technical reports for management.
- Assists with oversight of safe and compliant operations.
- High school diploma.
- 6 years' experience in commercial and residential construction.
- Current or former Journeyman or higher equivalent trades worker.
- Familiarization with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) practices, International Building Codes (IBC), National Electrical Code (NEC), ASHRAE Standards, OSHA regulations, National Fire Protection Codes (NFPA).
- Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.
- Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
- Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
